Okay, so I got this for my nephew's birthday, and I swear, his jaw hit the floor. He's usually glued to video games, but he spent hours putting this together. It's not just a model; it's a piece of art! If you want to be the cool aunt/uncle/parent, this is the gift. You won't regret it. Five stars, hands down!

Another fun model to build. few steps were a bit frustrating but still satisfied. this is a very underated model. im surprised theres not more reviews on it. also for some reason every retailer that sells this model leaves out the fact that this 1 lights up. they always mention the mantis and fox that uses a magnetic wand to turn it on. to my surprise when taking inventory, a light module. check out my pics to see it lit up in the dark. there was however a couple issues both with the base. the springs absolutely will not fit over the piece of included pipe pieces and 1 of the screws was way too long and caused the base to wobble badly. the Dremel took care of that part. i left off the defective springs and tbh i think it looks better anyway. as for difficulty id say medium despite the fact that i finished it in almost half the time as the scorpion and giant wasp, some steps were kinda tough. in closing the couple flaws in the base wasnt enough to lose a star. i highly recommend building this 1.

According to our son, it was pretty easy to assemble, but he's had some experience with projects like this before. Once it was put together, he could spin the wheel to make the wings move. There's even a small piece to keep the wheel in place if he wanted. This toy would be a perfect gift for anyone who enjoys building things and improving their fine motor skills.
