I’ve put together my fair share of plastic kits and Lego sets over the years, but this Tablefunny metal scorpion is in a different league entirely. The precision-cut stainless steel bits feel really high-end and have a proper bit of weight to them. It’s certainly not a five-minute job—you’ve really got to settle in and enjoy the build.
The instructions were spot on, and watching the gears and joints come together to form this aggressive-looking beast was dead satisfying. I opted for the gold version, and the finish is top-notch. It’s now the centrepiece of my display shelf. If you’re after a rewarding project that’s a bit out of the ordinary, this is definitely the one!
Fair warning: you need a bit of patience and some steady hands, but man, the payoff is amazing! This was my first metal puzzle from Tablefunny, and I’m hooked. The way the pieces bolt together is so much more satisfying than using glue. There’s a real sense of accomplishment when you tighten the last screw and see the scorpion standing there. I was worried about missing parts, but everything was well-organized and they even included some spare hardware. Highly recommended for anyone who loves working with their hands.
