I bought this mechanical octopus kit as a weekend DIY project. The quality of the metal parts impressed me—they feel substantial in the hand, and all components are neatly bagged by number, which is very helpful. However, I'm giving it four stars instead of five because the assembly process was quite challenging. The screws and gears are incredibly tiny—you absolutely need tweezers and steady hands. It consists of numerous metal blocks, and I disassembled and reassembled it a couple of times. It took much longer than I anticipated, but seeing the finished product was incredibly rewarding.

I purchased this steampunk octopus lamp kit directly from the Tablefunny official website. Based on past experience, I knew shipping from China would take about two weeks. The entire shipping process was trackable in real time. When the kit arrived, the packaging was quite exquisite. The parts were clearly categorized and easy to identify, and the instructions were concise and straightforward. All components were included, sufficient to complete the entire project. The kit's quality is outstanding, with each part manufactured to a high precision, and all metal components free of sharp edges. The kit contains numerous intricate parts, and I thoroughly enjoyed this type of project—the assembly process was genuinely fun. While I can't recall the exact time spent, it definitely took several hours. Several challenging steps were involved, and it was precisely these elements that made the assembly so enjoyable. The final product is simply amazing! The glowing spheres look fantastic, support charging, and come with a remote control for multi-color transitions.

It took me two days to assemble the octopus model. Some parts were quite tricky to handle, but that's exactly the kind of challenge I love! The design is truly ingenious. This is my second model kit—the first was a mechanical spider. Now my octopus lounges lazily on the bookshelf, its tentacles reaching toward my collection of fantasy horror novels. The scene is absolutely perfect. I especially adore the lighting—planet-like spheres paired with an RGB controller, casting a soft, mesmerizing glow. What truly amazes me is the sheer number of spare parts included for every intricate component—plenty left over, so you won't be scouring the carpet for tiny screws and nuts knocked off by the cat! Now I'm pondering which kit to treat myself to for my next birthday (it's coming up soon... ）

I saw this steampunk octopus lamp pop up in my recommendations, and I had to hit “buy” — it’s even cooler in person! The metal details are so crisp, and the purple LED glow is perfect (not too bright, just enough to add a vibe to my shelf). I set it on my media console next to my vinyl records, and every time friends come over, they stop to stare. It’s sturdy too — I accidentally bumped it once, and it didn’t wobble or scratch. 10/10, worth every penny. Already eyeing the other steampunk pieces from this shop!
